Exoplanets are planets that orbit stars outside of our Solar System. Beginning in the mid-1990s, astronomers began finding these planets by several means. To date there have been hundreds found.

Space programsEdit

French space program, COROT, is notable for finding many exoplanets that we know of today, especially ones with similar climates to those found in our Solar System.
